Purpose of class
While conducting PBL related to architectural design and urban planning at overseas universities, it aims at developing and increasing cross-cultural understanding and communication skills in addition to international sense and language ability.
Course description
Both International Workshop A and International Workshop B are PBL lessons that are conducted in the form of intensive lectures during the summer or spring holiday with the aim of cultivating an international sense. In International Workshop A, accepting foreign student, we will hold an international architectural workshop cooperating with foreign students who are studying at overseas universities. It aims to understand different cultures from Japan and communicate properly with each other, and to develop various skills such as research, design, and presentation in architecture.

  2. Learn how to properly prepare design books and reports.
  3. Perform an appropriate presentation using English.

Evaluation method and criteria
In addition to the final product, presentation, language operation, the effort of solution of the assigned issue and contribution to group work are included in the evaluation. 100 points for full marks and score over 60 points.
