Purpose of class
Acquire fundamental knowledge regarding construction organization, contracts, and construction management plans for the practical realization of buildings. Additionally, understand the primary management items and methods for construction management across various types of projects.
Course description
Construction production technology advances daily due to taller, larger, and more complex buildings, along with progress in IT. At the same time, it remains a collection of fundamental techniques, with traditional methods also holding importance. Furthermore, consideration must extend beyond building construction to include maintenance, management, and demolition techniques. This course covers the current landscape of construction production, utilizing recent findings and market analysis results. Students will gain an understanding of fundamental knowledge essential for construction management, such as quality control, schedule management, and safety management. They will also learn basic aspects of various construction works, key points in quality control, and acquire foundational knowledge for formulating construction plans.
Goals and objectives
  1. Gain a broad understanding of the current state of construction production, taking into account the broader social context, and be able to raise issues and form personal opinions regarding future directions.
  2. Understand quality control, schedule management, safety management, cost management, and environmental management in formulating construction plans, and be able to create basic plans.
  3. Regarding construction management for various projects, understand the management items and methods, and grasp the key points of construction management.

Final exams, quizzes during and after class, reports, etc., will be used for comprehensive evaluation.
