Purpose of class
国内外の建築文化を理解する。
Course description
本科目は、前半と後半の2部構成とする。前半は日本の伝統的木造建築の構造・空間・意匠および、文化財建造物の基本的な保存の理念から、修理事業史、活用方法まで概観する。後半は建築を取り巻く文化や環境がどのように成り立ってきたかを各地の事例を踏まえて紹介する。それぞれの講義で建築空間を構築するにあたって、人々は何を考え、何を意図し、どのような方法をとっていたのかを考える。
