Purpose of class
Be able to use design research methods based on ethnography and cultural anthropology.
Course content
In the special lecture on industrial design, students will use books on cultural anthropology to learn about the relationship between complex industrial products and humans. Students will present their respective sections of the textbook and then hold a group discussion.
This lecture including group works.
Goals and objectives
  1. Able to explain the necessity of cultural anthropology and ethnographic research
  2. Able to conduct lifestyle surveys based on ethnographic methods
  3. Present your research notes and objectively identify and organize shortcomings (critical thinking)
