The purpose of this course is to understand the properties of various materials, e.g. metals, alloys, ceramics, glass, polymers,
and natural materials, that students may use in their master projects.
This course provides basic scientific knowledge of conventional materials such as metals, alloys, polymers, composite materials,
magnets, and woods/plants for students who do not major in materials science.

- The students will be able to explain recent knowledge of newly developed materials
- The students will be able to explain how to utilize the knowledge in the individual research or project
