1 Quantum Computer Basic Technology /Exercise1
Students will study key technologies that can play crucial roles in designing quantum computers that meet both performance
and cost goals.
This research focuses on quantum computers primarily from the perspectives of computer architecture and hardware. We aim to
explore basic technologies that enable the execution of useful quantum algorithms on quantum hardware.
- To be able to explain and discuss the architecture and hardware of quantum computers.
- To be able to investigate research trends related to quantum computers and determine research topics.
- To be able to conduct research by simulations or experiments using quantum hardware.
Relationship between 'Goals and Objectives' and 'Course Outcomes'
Japanese(English accepted)
Students will report on research progress at laboratory meetings. Based on the discussions there, students will proceed and
finally present the results of their research in Japan or overseas.
Students will advance their research, discussing with the supervisor. Research progress will be shared in laboratory meetings.
Ultimately, the goal is to present the results at conferences or in papers.
Evaluation method and criteria
Evaluation will be based on the student’s daily engagement in research and on the results of their research activities.
Feedback on exams, assignments, etc.
| ways of feedback |
specific contents about "Other" |
| Feedback in/outside the class. |
|
Textbooks and reference materials
Textbooks and reference materials will be chosen as needed.
Students are expected to review papers related to their research interests in advance.
It is desirable to have a basic understanding of mathematics, programming, computer architecture, and integrated circuits.
