Purpose of class
土木構造学では，土木構造技術者に期待される「技術的問題の所在を的確に発見する能力」，「その問題を自力で解決する能力」，｢時間，技術などの制約条件のもと計画的に研究を遂行する能力｣を身に付けることを目標としている。具体的には指導教官との議論、実社会での土木構造物の抱える実体験、自らの知見を高めるための自己学習などを通し、各自の研究テーマを設定し、その課題を解決するための実験・演習などを計画し、それを実施していくこと、さらには得られた成果を指導教官との議論や学会等での発表により、社会で活躍できる発信能力とコミュニケーション能力などを高めることを目的としている。
