Research of Advanced Design based on Material Strength/Exercise 1

HASHIMURA Shinji
Purpose of class
In this course, students will learn experimental evaluation methods and analytical techniques for material strength through various research activities related to mechanical joining such as screw tightening and riveting, and material strength. They will also use knowledge of "Mechanics of materials," "Strength of materials," and "Machine design engineering" to develop problem-solving skills for various fracture phenomena and high-level safety design skills and related techniques regarding the strength and mechanical performance of mechanical elements. The aim is to contribute the results to society by giving oral presentations at academic societies and submitting them to academic journals.
Course content
Based on the foundation of material strength, students will learn experimental evaluation methods and analytical techniques for material strength through various research activities related to mechanical joining such as screw fastening and riveting, and material strength, and will develop problem-solving skills and the ability to properly interpret and summarize experimental and analytical data.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to master experimental technique and analytical technique in own research
  2. To be able to survey articles and papers with regard to own research
  3. To be able to make scientific papers of own research
