1 Advanced study of housing and environmental design /Exercise 1
This research subject aims to improve theoretical understanding of the living environment and empirical research ability.
It analyzes various factors such as living behavior, social relations, cultural background, and environmental conditions in
an integrated manner for housing, settlements, and local environment, and examines the issues of housing environment design
and planning academically. Through literature research, case studies, and fieldwork, students will set their own research
themes and acquire advanced research methods for housing environment design and planning.
It aims to develop a pathway to solve problems by microscopically grasping the mutual relationship of people, the ecological
environment, and material culture including architecture, targeting the entire living space where people live on a daily basis,
understanding the situation at the forefront of residence. Based on seminar-style classes, field research will be conducted
as appropriate. In the seminar, we will discuss the spatial organization of diverse societies and aim to devise a method to
achieve the best living environment for people.
- can use theories related to living space.
- can theoretically explain the mutual ring of people, ecological environment, and buildings.
- A new plan can be conceived based on 1 and 2 above.
