Purpose of class
The course aims at obtaining basic knowledge of human characteristics required for effective design. By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Obtain knowledge about human characteristics and to explain them.
2. Understand typical approaches for analysis and evaluation of human characteristics, and to explain the outline of them.
Course description
This course focuses on human factors directly connected with effective design of products, services and socio-technical systems including human. Students will attain foundational knowledge and on human physical, cognitive and behavioral characteristics. Through lectures, students will understand the basics of human characteristics and approaches to designing and evaluating various kinds of artefacts.
