Purpose of class
Students will learn the basic knowledge of intellectual property rights, which are essential for product development and creative activities, as well as their relationship with business, and understand their importance. In addition, students will acquire methods for searching industrial property rights and learn how to utilize them in the processes of technology and design development.
Course description
Among intellectual property rights, students will learn basic knowledge of industrial property rights (patents, utility models, design rights, and trademarks) and copyrights, as well as past court cases. Students will also learn methods for searching industrial property rights.

  1. Students will be able to acquire basic knowledge of intellectual property rights.
  2. Students will be able to understand the importance of intellectual property rights in product development and creative activities.
  3. Students will be able to distinguish between different types of industrial property rights and conduct searches for them.
