Purpose of class
To learn analysis method in time domain while the classic control theory analyzes in frequency domain.
Course description
In this class, students learn about MIMO (multi-input multi-output) system, which is difficult in the classic control theory.
In the classic control theory, a system is transformed into the transfer function in frequency domain, meanwhile the modern control theory analyses a system with state space equations. In this class, the analysis using state space equations are introduced.
Goals and objectives
  1. Students should be able to enable to derive state space equation
  2. Students should be able to enable to transform linear differential equations
  3. Students should be able to judge controllability and obserbavility
  4. Students should be able to judge stability of linear system
  5. Students should be able to control a system with state feedback
  6. Students should be able to understand optimal control
  7. Students should be able to estimate by the state space observer
