Program / Major mDP Goals
Advanced Mechanical Engineering D 機械工学の基盤技術に関わる物理現象の本質を数理的に理解することができる。機械を設計・製作・運用するために必要な手法(計測、制御、設計、加工など)に習熟し、それらを実際の工学的問題に適用することができる。
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to let students understand the fundamentals of structural mechanics and related mathematical methods.
Course description
This course will provide lectures on mechanics with an emphasis on its application to mechanical engineering. Specifically, students will learn about the basic concepts of mechanics, balance of forces, the kinematics and dynamics of a mass point, and the motion of a rigid body, while also acquiring basic mathematics such as differential and integral calculus, differential equations, and vectors.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to apply the basic concepts of mechanics.
  2. To be able to apply the balance of forces.
  3. To be able to apply the kinematics and dynamics of point masses.
  4. To be able to apply rigid body kinematics and dynamics.
