Purpose of class
You are expected to acquire the basic electrical functions and technologies of typical electronic materials.
Course description
This course deals with basic properties of conductor, resistor, semiconductor, magnetic and dielectric materials.
Goals and objectives
  1. Be able to explain the kinds of conductor materials, their physical properties, and their applications.
  2. Be able to explain the kinds of resistor materials, their physical properties, and their applications.
  3. Be able to explain the kinds of semiconductor materials, their physical properties, and their applications.
  4. Be able to explain the kinds of magnetic materials, their physical properties, and their applications.
  5. Be able to explain the kinds of dielectric materials, their physical properties, and their applications.

Evaluation method:
A 6th absence may constitute a failing grade in this course.
Midterm examination (or Midterm report) 50%, and final examination (or Final report) 50%. You must score at least 60 points or higher out of 100 to pass.
Criteria:
If you able to answer the practice problems by referring to the provided materials, you will get 60 points out of 100 to pass.
