(改組前)先進国際課程 A-1 A-1 Students shall obtain basic and advanced knowledge and skills in mathematics, natural and computer sciences as well as presentation skills to communicate on their knowledge with scholars from various fields.
Purpose of class
To develop an understanding of organic chemistry covering:
1. The chemical structure of organic molecules
2. The synthesis of organic molecules
3. Reactions of organic molecules
Course description
This subject deals primarily with the basic principles to understand the structure and reactivity of organic molecules. Emphasis is on substitution and elimination reactions and chemistry of the carbonyl group.
Goals and objectives
  1. Students can explain about the chemical structure and reactivity of organic molecules.
  2. Students can describe the synthesis and reactions of organic molecules via different reaction mechanism
  3. Students can implement the studied knowledge to the practical reactions of organic molecules in research and industrial fields.
