Computer Science and Engineering F-1 技術的資料や報告書の作成能力、口頭発表や討論を行う能力を身に付けることができる。
Computer Science and Engineering G 技術的課題に対してさまざまな工学分野の知識を関連付けながら主体的に取り組み、継続的に学修する能力を身に付けることができる。
Purpose of class
By utilizing the knowledge they have learned so far and working to solve the problems they have set themselves, students will enhance their comprehensive abilities that they will need when they enter the workforce.
Course description
Building on the knowledge in computer science and engineering that students have previously acquired and are currently studying, each student will select a graduation research topic based on their interests or on an area they wish to explore further. Under the guidance of their supervisor, students will learn about the latest topics related to their choice by reading academic papers. Through this process, they will acquire research skills, including research methodology, organization of results, academic writing, and presentation techniques.

In Graduation Research II, each student will select one relevant research paper and study it in depth. By carefully analyzing the selected paper, students will not only gain a thorough understanding of the target paper itself but also of related research cited within it. They will then summarize and present the paper. Through these activities, students will develop the ability to read technical literature, communicate its content effectively through presentations, and engage in independent and continuous learning.

In addition, students will attend presentations by others, deepen their understanding through question-and-answer sessions, and compile reports based on what they have learned. Through these activities, they will cultivate the ability to understand research through presentations and strengthen their communication skills.
Goals and objectives
  1. Through research, students can find and set up their own problems and solve them.
  2. Students can read and understand technical literature, and prepare technical documents.
  3. Students participate proactively in research discussions and present research results in an easy-to-understand manner.

Evaluation method and criteria
Evaluation will be based on the content of the presentation and report (50%) and the level of understanding demonstrated through discussions within the laboratory (50%). A score equivalent to 60 points will be given when a student demonstrates the minimum level expected of a third-year undergraduate student, namely understanding the selected paper, presenting its contents, and responding to questions about it.
