行列式の計算について習得し、行列式とその性質、逆行列との関係について理解する。さらに、行列の対角化および実対称行列の直交行列による対角化について習得する。
線形代数Iに引き続き、行列の理論について講義を行う。前半では、主に行列式とその性質、計算の手法、逆行列との関係について述べる。後半では、線形代数Iで扱った2次正方行列の対角化の方法を拡張し、行列の対角化および実対称行列の直交行列による対角化の一般的理論について講義する。

授業で扱った内容の60％以上を理解していると判断された場合, 合格 (60点以上)となる.
