Purpose of class
Understand the forces generated by machines, understand important terms in statics and dynamics, and acquire the power to solve problems.
Course description
Mechanical mechanics is the study that deals with ”force generated by machine motion”.
In mechanical mechanics, on the premise that all objects are rigid, then we learn about ”statics”, which deals with the balance of forces acting on non-moving objects, and ”Dynamics”, which deals with the balance of forces acting on non-moving objects.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understanding the role of mechanics within the academic programs of the department.
  2. Understanding the statics of machines, such as balance and moment.
  3. Understanding machine dynamics such as rigid body motion and moment of inertia.

Evaluation method and criteria
Credit recognition will be based on the results of regular examinations.
The scope of the regular exam will be the content explained on the board and orally during lectures. If you understand these contents, you can get 60% points. The distribution of marks for regular exams will be explained during the lecture.

Absences due to illness or other reasons will not be accepted unless a doctor’s medical certificate or notification of absence is submitted.
If you are absent multiple times, we will assume that you do not intend to earn credits, and your credits will not be recognized.
Details will be given in the first lecture. Be sure to prepare and review every time.
However, points may be added depending on the answers submitted during the exercise.
