Purpose of class
The goal is to gain a qualitative understanding of the characteristics of the components that make up electronic devices.
The objective is to be able to qualitatively explain the operation of basic electronic circuits. Additionally, the aim is to understand the general procedures and concepts involved in the design of electronic devices.
Course description
What is hardware (electronic equipment)? What components (parts) is it made of? What is the design philosophy behind it?
This course provides a broad overview to answer these questions. It serves as a preparatory step for the many specialized courses on hardware offered later in the curriculum.
The primary goal is to spark an interest in hardware.
