Purpose of class
Through this subject, the attendants are expected to improve their English ability with focus on mathematical sciences, and also experience some different culture so that they can properly perform their long-term study in a foreign university at the 3rd academic year. It is believed that this subject will help the attendants with their career design in the future.
Course description
This subject is composed of a short-term studying-abroad program together with some preliminary education in mathematical sciences. It is expected that the attendants could improve their English ability with focus on mathematical sciences, and experience some different culture so that they can properly perform their long-term study in a foreign university at the 3rd academic year.
Goals and objectives
  1. Can understand basic English words and phrases in mathematical sciences both verbally and in writing.
  2. Can write a technical report by using plain scientific English.
  3. Can use English to discuss with other attendants and perform a technical presentation.
