Purpose of class
The main objective of this course is to develop problem solving skills when working with various problems faced by global communities.
Course description
This course provides opportunity for students to learn and think about solving problems while working with students from other universities. Typically, problems statements regarding environmental problems will be prepared by professors. Students are required to discuss and formulate solutions before proceeding to conducting experimental works or fieldwork.
Goals and objectives
  1. Develop problem-solving skills: students develop the skills they need to identify, analyze, and solve problems in any setting.
  2. Enhance critical thinking skills: As students work through problems, students need to think critically about the information they have, evaluate different solutions, and come up with the best possible answer.
  3. Foster collaboration skills: this course helps students develop the skills they need to collaborate effectively with others, such as communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

Students will be evaluated based on teamwork, active communication and effort through group activities, presentations and reports. The minimum score to pass this course is 60.
