Purpose of class
Acquire basic knowledge of building facilities such as air conditioning equipment, plumbing and sanitation equipment, electrical equipment, and fire prevention and disaster prevention equipment.
Course description
In recent years, the importance of the positioning of building facilities has been increasing when planning buildings.
Building facilities play an important role in fulfilling the functions of a building.
In this lecture, the functions and configurations of specific building facility items, such as air conditioning equipment, plumbing and sanitation equipment, electrical equipment, and fire prevention, disaster prevention equipment, will be explained.
Additionally, the main basic calculation methods will be described, allowing students to acquire essential foundational knowledge of building facilities.
Goals and objectives
  1. To understand and be able to explain the basic knowledge of building facilities such as air conditioning equipment, plumbing and sanitary equipment, electrical equipment, and fire prevention, disaster prevention equipment.
    To understand and be able to explain the technical terms used in practice problems presented in class.
  2. Being able to perform basic calculations related to building facilities such as air conditioning equipment, plumbing and sanitary equipment, electrical equipment, and fire prevention, disaster prevention equipment.
    Being able to understand and solve calculation problems handled in practice exercises assigned during class.
  3. Being able to understand and explain the relationship between building facilities such as air conditioning equipment, plumbing and sanitary equipment, electrical equipment, and fire prevention, disaster prevention equipment, and the building itself.
    Being able to understand and explain the technologies adopted in actual examples and case studies of environmental architecture explained in class.
