Biology is the science of understanding life phenomena, and understanding biology is essential to understanding life science.
The purpose of this class is to study a wide range of fundamental areas in biology.
First of all, you will learn what cells are, the basic structure of life, and how they are structured, including their basic components. By studying these, you will acquire the basic knowledge to understand the mechanism of metabolism and acquisition of energy of life.
You will learn various basic knowledge about genes, such as DNA, the basics of genetic information, the concept of genes, and the structure of chromosomes.
You will study the mechanism by which genetic information is inherited is a major strategy for life, including humans, to survive into the future.
In order for a living organism to survive, it needs a system to maintain itself and protect itself from non-self. In Biology I, you will finally study the mechanisms by which living organisms maintain and defend themselves.

DNA as genetic material that defines life and the way that genetic information leads to the actual expression of functions are explained.

(2) Regardless of whether the class is face-to-face or online, we will use Google Classroom, a system similar to ScombZ, to check attendance and administer quizzes for each lecture (Mid-term and final examinations are conducted in a face-to-face class format.). Grades are evaluated based on the results of 40% for the middle exam, 40% for the final exam and 20% for the mini test. A
total score of 60% or more means passed. The exam covers printed documents, additional documents, lecture notes and oral comments.
You could get 80% in the exam, if you fully understand the content of the lecture.
